History
Playing the piano is really fun, though somewhat difficult when living in a studio apartment! So, I usually practice on an electric piano, and I go to the practice rooms in Lincoln Hall whenever possible. I've taken lessons sporadically since going to college, because I'm usually so busy with all my other school work. Having said that, I am re-starting lessons again, so I will have to practice more diligently!
My favorite composers are probably Chopin and Schubert, but it really isn't easy to decide. I also like Beethoven, Debussy, Bach, Schumann, Rachmaninoff, etc.
One reason for buying the electric piano was to make recording myself playing much easier. However, my laptop's sound card is not good enough to get much more than static when I try to record. So, any suggestions for what sound card to use, or how to get everything set up to record on the computer would be great. :-) Once I figure this out, this page will also contain recordings of whatever I practice. See, I'll even save a space for it below...
